  • 3-hour limit was exceeded (Orange, Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups) on July 5, 2023, from 1912 to 2325. A sudden change in wind direction and drop in wind speed contributed to elevated PM10 concentrations.

  • 24-hour limit was exceeded on July 5, 2023. A sudden change in wind direction and drop in wind speed contributed to elevated PM10 concentrations.

  • 1-hour limit was exceeded on July 23, 2023 at 0111. Norlite was not operating the plant at this time.

  • 24-hour limit was exceeded on August 22, 2023, due an equipment maintenance issue that was addressed quickly.

  • 24-hour limit was exceeded on August 30, 2023, due to a change in wind direction and wind speed. Norlite curtailed operations immediately.

  • 24-hour limit was exceeded on September 24, 2023, due to front-end loader activity early in the morning that was stopped within 30 minutes after detecting elevated particulate matter concentrations.

  • 3-hour limit was exceeded (Orange, Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups) on October 26, 2023, from 2025 to 2158. A drop in wind speed and change in wind direction contributed to elevated PM10 concentrations.

  • 24-hour and 3-hour limit was exceeded (Orange, Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups) on November 18, 2023, from 1153 to 1506. Sustained winds from the northwest contributed to elevated PM10 concentrations.

  • 1-hour and 3-hour limit was exceeded (Orange, Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups) on November 24, 2023, from 1419 to 1717. Sustained winds from the northwest contributed to elevated PM10 concentrations.
